Trixie joined my kennel in 2007. Originally I thought she would only be passing through, as company for Benji after the passing of another young bitch I had left him very lonely. Very quickly Trixie won over not only Benji’s heart, but also mine. We have never looked back!!

Trixie was one basenji that missed out on the “aloof” gene in the breed. She’s the first to welcome a new person to the house, and insists they shower her with affection until they leave.
In February 2008, Trixie decided that she was going to have a litter with her boyfriend, Benji. The pups they produced all have Trixie’s open welcoming character. And are all very affectionate dogs.
Trixie is a natural in the show ring. Her calm and trusting temperament allows her to be handled by anyone in the ring, from a complete stranger to a novice junior handler.
